I received my September Ipsy a couple weeks ago. Let me just say… IPSY came through!
My first impression of the bag was kind of meh. I was worried I wouldn’t like the products, but I was in love with the bag itself [black and gold is my life]. But after trying some of the products out, I changed my mind. No disappointment here! I had to take a step back and remind myself the point is to try new products and break out of my comfort zone a little more!
Let me start off by apologizing for not being consistent in my posts lately! Life has been getting the best of me y’all.
SO WHAT’S UP?! I have three tests coming up next week at school, and they are killers. One teacher recently had a baby (the first week of school) so she hasn’t been actually teaching, but the test is still on…. CAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE!?! Anyways, I’ve been spending a ridiculous amount of time studying and stressing. The American Bar Association is coming to review our school next week too; they have to decide if we keep our accreditation or not, so it’s kind of a big deal. View Post
I’m not kidding about this one! Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls styling lotion leaves no crunch and an awesome scent on your pretty locks.
One of my best friends was in the process of moving to Texas the other week and I noticed this in her bathroom while she was packing. Since I always struggle to tame my fluffy wavy/curly hair, the bottle peaked my interest. She wasn’t a fan, so she passed it on to me. I wanted to test this out several times before writing about it and here’s what happened:
I decided to break out of my comfort zone and rock a Sunset Smokey Eye inspired by Jaclyn Hill’s Morphe 35o Palette tutorial. I didn’t copy every detail of Jaclyn’s tutorial, but it’s very similar. I’m going to write about all of the products used to create this look. If you have any questions, be sure to let me know in the comments and I’ll be happy to answer them!
I’ve had a pretty hectic holiday weekend after having another super stressful week between work and school. I’m sorry I haven’t been blogging regularly.
I woke up on Saturday morning to find ants crawling on my bedroom floor and throughout my clean clothes that were waiting to be put away. EW! I was so irritated. A BIG thank you to the tropical storm that just blew through the region motivating the ants to take up residence in my room (eye roll).
This disastrous infestation (okay I’m a tiny bit dramatic) forced me into full on cleaning mode, which resulted in me cleaning out my makeup collection among other things. This was much needed though! I got rid of quite a few products and reorganized my collection.
Parting with makeup, even items I never use is still hard. Every makeup lover knows this. But sometimes you have to rip off the bandaid and move on.
