First, I want to be upfront with you that DermaE sent me a PR package that included a jar of both of their hydrating day and night creams. The jars show off the previous packaging compared to the company’s new packaging and design that they are launching starting in September 2016. They are offering the same great formula with a bit of a face-lift!
I think we all can agree – great packaging is everything – and DermaE’s new look is gorgeous!
Before diving into the products, I want to give you all a quick peek into DermaE. I did some recon and I have to say, I’m impressed. DermaE is a brand who is all natural, 100% vegan, and gluten, paraben, GMO, and cruelty-free. Just that part alone peaked my interest. View Post
Recently, I was lucky enough to receive a full sized bottle of Valentia’s Night Revive Retinol Serum to review. Prior to this, I had never heard of Valentia before, but this is a brand I can definitely get behind!

Thanks for following me over to my new site! I am really excited to share it with everyone. It will be bigger and better than Frugal Miss. I PROMISE. I really have a love for writing and beauty; however, between school the past few weeks and limitations through wordpress.com, I wasn’t feeling the motivation to write. I have two blog awards to respond to, new hauls, and new products to review, but nothing has been grabbing my attention. I wasn’t happy with my blog name, my link, or anything really.
So, I took a leap of faith and here we are at The Kristin Review. I’m proud of the name and I’m proud of my site design. I’m still hopeful more of my followers from my previous site will come join me here. But, if not, then it’s okay. I did this re-launch for myself.
My biggest tip of advice for everyone is to take the time to think through the name and purpose of your blog before setting it up and diving in. I got ahead of myself for sure, although I don’t regret it one bit. I wanted my site to be more personal to myself and not specific to the budget saving aspect. I will still write about frugalness, but I want to challenge myself to grow and not narrow my focus so much.
I would love post and product suggestions, blogging advice, and new friends. So please don’t be a stranger. Leave me comments, send emails, etc. I would love a blogger bff! Let’s get to know each other and chat! 🙂
I received my September Ipsy a couple weeks ago. Let me just say… IPSY came through!
My first impression of the bag was kind of meh. I was worried I wouldn’t like the products, but I was in love with the bag itself [black and gold is my life]. But after trying some of the products out, I changed my mind. No disappointment here! I had to take a step back and remind myself the point is to try new products and break out of my comfort zone a little more!
Let me start off by apologizing for not being consistent in my posts lately! Life has been getting the best of me y’all.
SO WHAT’S UP?! I have three tests coming up next week at school, and they are killers. One teacher recently had a baby (the first week of school) so she hasn’t been actually teaching, but the test is still on…. CAUSE THAT MAKES SENSE!?! Anyways, I’ve been spending a ridiculous amount of time studying and stressing. The American Bar Association is coming to review our school next week too; they have to decide if we keep our accreditation or not, so it’s kind of a big deal. View Post
