ENJOY: Handling the Holidays, Stress, and Fitness in 5 Minutes

When I stop and think about the things I enjoy this time of the year, cinnamon scented candles and Thanksgiving obviously come to mind, but there’s really so much more.

I can’t wait for next week to sit back and have four full days to do absolutely nothing. I can’t wait to enjoy my peace and quiet for a few days and get to see my family. P&Q is something I haven’t had in a long time. Work, school, friends, and family have been throwing an onslaught of stress my way… and ya girl has had enough! I highly recommend that while things are getting hectic with holiday plans, wrapping up school, and everything else, that you take the time to sit back and enjoy.  Take some time to yourself, and don’t just let the holiday season blow by.

I’ve also found a lot of enjoyment in getting back into the gym. It’s important this time of year to not forget about your physical health. I actually had the opportunity to workout with the owner of my gym the other day and it was so nice. She tried to kill me, but the challenge to finish the workout was exhilarating. I know that sounds crazy, but that’s the point I’m at. She taught me some new moves that I will definitely be adding to my routines to mix things up. Who knew there could be serious enjoyment in the pounding of your heart and gasping for air while pouring sweat?! I hope to be sharing more health and fitness posts in the coming weeks! I’m sorry my blog has been all beauty lately — who am I kidding, it’s my blog; no I’m not!

Currently, I’m also (impatiently) waiting for my pizzas and best friend to get here. There will be some much-needed relaxation this weekend and catching up with my BFF. Sometimes you have to sit back and count your blessings, especially the ones that you don’t realize are there.
