COLOUR POP HAUL & REVIEW!

COLOUR POP HAUL & REVIEW!

I have to admit, I’ve had my eyes on Colour Pop for a very long time and finally, I took the dive. On Labor Day weekend, I hopped on their site after spending all day that Sunday watching YouTube videos from my favorites and started putting things in my basket. Y’all, I took a good hour just narrowing down my options that were in my basket and selecting exactly what I wanted. Everything they have is so beautiful. When my Colour Pop order finally arrived at my house, I thought I was going to cry. It was Christmas in September.

Colour Pop's Adorable Packaging

Their packaging is beautiful and simple. And how cute is that card?!

I can’t get over that card! Part of the Labor Day Sale was that if you spent $20 you received 2 FREE Ultra Matte Lips. I already had one in my basket, because I was on the hunt for some pretty, fall, nude, lip colors… but 2 freebies — yes! Come to Mama!! I also had a $5 off coupon code which essentially gave me free shipping! My total (with discounts) came to $25 when with shipping and the freebies would have been $40. I’M NOT MAD ABOUT IT! 🙂

Colour Pop Haul by the Kristin Review

This is my final order after much debate and research of swatches and reviews!

I ended up with the Super Shock Shadow pot in the shade Smash (Thank You Kathleen Lights!). It’s a beautiful neutral tone single brown shadow with the perfect amount of pigment and has a “golden satin finish”.  It’s literally my perfect single shadow and almost feels wet when you dip into it, but also powdery. IDK guys, it’s magic.

I have found it applies best when tapped onto your lid with your finger. It’s seriously the softest shadow I’ve ever touched and it’s only $5. I want every shade they make. You can use this to create any glammed up look, but I mostly use it for my every day at the office for work, shade. It’s perf for over-night travel when you want to keep your bags and your look simple.

For fun, I also grabbed the Brow Pencil in Dope Taupe because I can never find a great brow product I like. I haven’t used the Anastasia Brow Pencil, but at $21 I can’t justify it. I love Dope Taupe. It matches my brows and doesn’t drag on my skin. It’s not overly waxy and the spoolie on the end is very convenient.

Colour Pop Super Shock Shadow and Lippie Stix, The Kristin Review

This shadow is slaying my life… So basic, but so perfect. It’s a must have. Obviously, I couldn’t wait to take pictures and had to swatch it ASAP.

The Lippie Stix shades are Lumiere by Kathleen Lights (matte finish) and Button (satin finish). Lumiere is a pinky, purple-y shade and Button is more peachy pink. Neither of these shades is too over the top so I think they would be wearable on anyone! Also $5 each. Where can you buy a gorgeous shade like these — even at the drug store– for $5? The answer is you can’t. I was worried Lumiere would be drying and emphasize the lines on my lips, but it really doesn’t. I love the wear time and when you re-apply, you can’t tell there is old and new lipstick on your lips. Can we also take a second to fangirl over the simple white packaging with the holographic font printed on it (heart eyes)!

Colour Pop Ultra Matte Lips x The Kristin Review

Top to Bottom: Midi, Notion, Times Square

I wanted to try one of their ultra matte lips as I’m loving the matte lip trend, so I settled for Midi (this was a hard decision). I know Midi and Times Square look almost identical, but they are very different on my lips. I wanted Midi since it was a light, pinky nude. I was looking for something I could wear to work. I left it to my boyfriend to make a decision on my two freebies. He picked Times Square immediately since we took a road trip to NYC this past summer. It was a dream! Notion is also a gorgeous deep cranberry color — it’s a fall fave.

I will say applying these shades is a breeze! It has a regular doe foot applicator and they dry very quickly. I struggle to get Notion to dry completely (eye roll). It kind of defeats the purpose. I wish it would dry completely because it is so pretty. I think Jaclyn Hill put a lipstick over it (YSL maybe — but I obviously can’t afford that specific one) and she said it helped! The others are great, but they show all the lines in my lips because they are lighter (anyone have suggestions to fix this?)

Colour Pop Labor Day Haul Swatches, Smash, Dope Taupe, Times Square, Notion, Midi, Button, Lumiere x The Kristin Review

Look how dreamy these all swatch. I should have done Smash lower on my arm on lighter skin to be a more accurate representation of my eye lid color.

I really love Colour Pop and am over the moon with my purchases. I think my next purchase will be more eyeshadows and maybe their Ultra Satin Lips? I usually don’t wear lip products, but I’m trying to branch out a little more. The quality of Colour Pop’s products is incredible regardless of the price, but a low price-point makes these a must have for anyone’s collection! Check out their site here: Colour Pop Cosmetics!

I recently tried ColourPop for the first time, too. LOVE the eyeshadows SO MUCH. I just hope they don’t dry out too quickly. Hope to review them soon, too.

Glad you love your haul 😀
